Hi,

Im form Britain & own a blackberry curve 8520. In trying to create privacy and a password for my media files I set an encryption code on the media card.

Not realising it had done anything, I was then prompted for the encryption password when I locked the keypad. In attempting to enter the password I failed the alloted 10 times and it said it was 'wiping' data.

I have now apparently lost all my pictures, ringtones, bbm contacts.

Is there anywway of getting this data back?

Please help it, I would be so so grateful

So, what's the story?

The instructions for the media card are straightforward. If you enabled encryption, then either the card is keyed to the device, to the user password, or to both. That's the way it is.

If it is your device and you set the password, then you should have had no trouble.

If the card is wiped, then it's wiped.
