When using my bb my backlight screen boost dosn't work no more.

for example

when i push the scroll ball the backlight lights up but the extra boost of power you get no longer appears.

the backlight setting is on 10

Try removing the battery when powered. Also did you add any applications just before this started? If so that may be the cause but try the battery pull first.
