Wow, now I can't make up my mind between the white 9700 Bold and waiting for the Bold slider. Bold, that is what RIM designers are. The competition should be scared, very scared. What will RIM do next, you ask? Well, I am officially predicting the next big thing from RIM will be .... drum roll, please .... a White Slider!!!! Wouldn't that be just too cool.

And here is a short Video of it. Actually, the more I see, the more interested I become. Looking forward to seeing in person.

Very cool. I look at things on my phone all the time, but the amount of time I have to type something is pretty minimal. But when I do type I want a real keyboard.
I'm ready for the commercial, I'm a Blackberry and the Blackberry slider was my idea.

I like it, and my contract is up. I'll probably get one if ATT has it.

It's growing on me. It's not as bulky as it originally looked to me. Let's see now if it got the specs to make it worth a purchase. But, if it's running 6.0, it should.

I'll be excited when the carriers are announced. If ATT doesn't have it there's no need to get excited about a phone I'm not getting.

I think a horizontal version would be a lot more interesting.

Have you tried the sideways keyboards though? I think the BB has a great layout compared to the ones I've tried out.

Yes, sure have. Some work nice, but with my big hands,
my Tour 9630 is easier to use than most, especially touch screens.

I had an old HTC model before going to BB Curve and loved the sideways keyboard. You get used to it, if the keys are the right size. But anything that increases the screen size without much impact on the device is a good thing.

And it looks like AT&T in June for the Bold 9800 Slider.

Darn. Maybe Verizon will get it later.

If you are a CDMA lover, look for Sprint to get the device in Q4 of this year.

That's news that I like to hear. I may have to pass on the 9650 and wait for the 9830? 9850?

Same here! I am a loyal Sprint customer (12 years) and get a hefty discount through work. I am glad to hear we are getting this too!

But nobody is listing the specs?? I want to know dimensions (this thing looks thick), processor and GPU (after all, with SnapDragon and the A4 around, who wants a slow phone?)
Is this running the 624MHz the Pearl 3G is (which they proudly announce)?
On that note, the Pearl 3G will run OS 6, have the same CPU as the Bold 9700 and SureType...not bad at all...
