Default Signal quality question

Please Login to Remove!

I've had the 9700 for about a month now and I was wondering what the general opinion is regarding the quality of the signal this phone has. I haven't really had may dropped calls but there are many times I can't even get a signal. It seems like it drops a lot. I live and work within a few miles of the downtown area of a small city (350,000) and less than 2 miles from a major interstate and I can go into an interior room at home or work and drop the signal all together. I can walk down the hallway at work and go from no signal to 3G, to edge and back. I can make a call and 5 minutes later in the same spot I have no signal. Is it just me or does this phone have an unusually poor antenna? I know it's AT&T but come on!

Wirelessly posted (White and Nerdy)

I've had no issue that I haven't had with other att phones... Its most likely just the coverage in the area

I think it is the service where you are at and not the device, if I had to guess.

I actually think I get reception more often in places I had trouble before with previous models, but not enough difference to believe it couldn't just be my imagination or an upgrade in services over time.
