I don't see it. No search brings it up.

This appears to be the battery the OP is talking about on CNET Shopper:

RIM BlackBerry C-S2 - handheld battery - Li-Ion - 1100 mAh - Compare prices, reviews, user opinions - Shopper.com

As they say, you get what you pay for. If you pay $1.70 for a BlackBerry battery, you are likely to get a battery worth $1.70. In other words, it is likely a cheap knockoff. Plus, it is sold through Amazon Marketplace. Not a place I recommend doing business if you ask me. Don't confuse Amazon Marketplace with Amazon. Think more along the lines of eBay.

I've bought from Amazon Marketplace before and everything has been fine. Quick turnaround from several different vendors and zero quality problems.

But I strongly prefer regular Amazon, to the point that I will pay a bit more if there's a choice between Amazon and another seller. Usually shipping evens that out anyway, but I just trust Amazon. With batteries, even if they're genuine, they could easily have been sitting in some back room for 2 years and be just as worn down as what's being replaced.
