Default Having trouble connecting storm to my PC!!

Hey i just purchased a blackberry storm and i downloaded the desktop manager software for me to be able to sort my phone out. When i connect my bb to the pc with the usb it comes up with a message saying "USB device not reconized" i've tried loads of different things and all i can think of it's a setting on the phone or something. I am good on pc but i really can not work this out. Must be to do with the storm. Please help!!

Are you connecting directly to the PC or using a HUB? BBs do not like HUBs, so if that is how you are connecting, try going plugging in directly.

What OS on your PC?

I think you need to uninstall and re-install the Blackberry Desktop software.
Sounds like the drivers didnt load.

My Storm doesn't connect to my desktop manager either...I have uninstalled and reinstalled the desktop software multiple times. My computer recognizes the phone but the manager does not. Any ideas from anyone?
