Can we try a test? Can you set a password on your device and then start up SmartView and see if you're prompted for the password like I am?

To set the password click on the Options icon -> Security Options -> General Settings -> Password = Enabled -> Menu button -> Save -> type in a password -> type in the password again.

Hmmmmm. My manager was unable to get SmartView 2.25.0046 to recognize her Tour. We had to set her up with a DUN connection. Try these steps for Vista:

1. Go to Start > Connect to > Setup a connection or network.
2. Connect to the Internet.
3. Choose Setup a new connection anyway.
4. Choose Create a new connection.
5. Choose Dial-up.
6. Choose Standard Modem.
7. The dial up Phone number is #777.
8. Leave the Username and Password fields blank.
9. Connect.

Once the above connection is created, close the window, connect your BB to your PC and start up Desktop Manager. Make sure Desktop Manager shows Connected with your PIN at the bottom of the window.

On the computer click Start > Settings > Network Connections><name of the new connection you created above>.

Leave the Username & Password fields blank and click Dial.

Any success?
