Default QuickPull, then nothing?

Please Login to Remove!

So I just installed a bunch of apps on my 8900, including QuickPull. Then I ran QuickPull, which turned off the phone, and I waited for it to turn back on...and waited...and waited..and am still waiting.

I can't even turn it on myself now via the power button, and the only sign of life I see is the red LED coming on every couple of minutes or so for a few seconds, each time.

Please tell me I haven't bricked my new phone and have to use JL cmdr to fix it.

Have you tried an actual battery pull?

Well, I just managed to (do an actual battery pull), after pretty much an hour of massive physical effort resulting in several sore digits. Note to self: Refrain from applying a skin to the phone when also employing the use of a full-body flip case. Good LORD it was not even funny how stuck to the case the phone was.

So now I've got a white screen and the clock icon doing its in thing in the middle of the screen. Hope it turns out okay. Will update this thead with any progress.

Update: Everything is up and running, at least for now (phew!).

I'm now afraid to run QuickPull again, almost as much as I am afraid to put my 8900 back in its case.

This same thing happened to me yesterday on my 8330. Only it happened when I was in my Podtrapper. Never happened before but the batterypull brought it to life, thank goodness. Really scarred me though.
BTW, where did you get the beautiful wallpaper from your screenshot?

I just ran it again but it was fine. Then I noticed there is a version 2 so I downloaded that one and replaced what I had. Haven't tried the new version yet, though.

Got the wallpaper from here. I spent over an hour combing through each page, there's a ton of great stuff there. There are a couple of .zip file attachments that contain all the wallpapers if you don't want to download them one by one too.

Thanks Dandelos,
I'me sure I will find some nice walls there. BTW, from my own experience and reading other posts on the version 1.1.2 of Quickpull, the Schedule option only works for the one time that you set it. It has to be reset every time after it goes off.

I wasn't planning on using that function, but good to know though. Thanks!
