Hey all,

I have gotten my T-Mobile BlackBerry Curve (8320) to work as a laptop GPRS Modem before.

Does anyone know if it can be done with an AT&T BlackBerry Bold?

Thoughts?

Well I figured it out:

I noticed that on Step 9

I needed to change

Cingular Blue/AT&T Users (Success!)
+cgdcont=1,"IP","proxy"

to -->

Cingular Blue/AT&T Users (Success!)
+cgdcont=1,"ip","wap.cingular"

As I will be travelling from Texas to Montana (for Vacation)...I will also need to check the GPRS Network in that area because I may need to adjust my laptop configuration accordingly.

Well I can honestly say that AT&T works in Montana with BlackBerry Bold and with using BlackBerry Bold as Modem.

However, because the state of Montana has many mountains on the southwest side, Mobile coverage was limited to areas where there were larger populations.

But if you like to ski, I would highly recommend checking out Big Sky Montana...it was a blast.

Make sure you have a tethering plan if you are on ATT. Otherwise, you might end up with a really high data bill.

Good advice...

...I checked my bill for that period and saw that there were some periods of large downloads about 19 MB at time (periods where I am sure I was tethering)...and everything looks good.

However, I do have a plan that allows for Unlimited Data and would highly advise asking for such a plan if you are even considering doing this with your phone.
