It was my understanding that a BB can only be hooked up to one BES, but multiple personal/BIS email accounts (POP3, etc).. if you are looking to setup a personal email I believe you need to create and account through your providers website.. I want to say it is bis.na.blackberry.com... There should be a weblink on your BB..

Don't use the e-mail option in the set up wizard... it only has a BES option for some reason. Use the e-mail settings app instead.

If this is a work device and is attached to BES, then there is an IT Policy from the company on the device. That might not allow you to set up any personal email or any sync via Desktop Manager.

In any event, being connected to BES makes your personal information no longer personal. If the company is providing the device and paying the bills, they have the right to restrict its use as they see fit. And that includes seeing your personal email, call logs, SMS, etc. if they so desire. Whether they do or not isn't the issue.

You probably should look into the company use policy and have a chat with your BES Admin and or IT Staff to see what is and isn't allowed.

You might be restricted thru BES and possibly, you might not be able to seperate emails from person and BES account. You can setup online bis.blackberry site and try it for yourself.

I tried it before with my BES and ended up disabling it. Good Luck
