OK, I have .75 storm, and I sometimes have a weird signal bar to the left of the 1XEV signal bars. It just has a letter E, with 2-3 bars next to it. I had never seen it before. It's not the battery level, and it's not the signal strength, because those were both visible in addition to "E" with 2 bars.

Anyone know what this is? It's not even showing it right now on my phone, but it was there a few minutes ago.

Can't say that I've ever seen this "E" you speak of. Grab a screen shot of it next time you see it though, that will probably help us identify it.

I checked the manual and the user guide and it is not there. Could you take a picture of it and post it? 73

Call Verizon. They do provide 24hr Customer serivice you know. Not trying to be a dick either.

Is yours unlocked? Only thing I can think of is EDGE or if you're running on the regular EVDO.

I will take a screenshot next time I see it, but who knows how long it will be till I see it again. It was probably a glitch. And I can't call Verizon, because my bill is paid for by my company, and I am not listed as an authorized person to talk to Verizon. I've tried before, and they always say they can't even talk to me. There are only 3 authorized users in my Company of 100,000+ people.

Anyways, it must have been just a glitch, because I have never seen it again. It was there for about a minute, then it disappeared.

And no, it's not unlocked.

I've seen it before... both on .75 and .83. I doubt that its anything to worry about. When the E does come up, before you click any buttons to refresh the screen, you'll notice that it's somewhat showing you the same image that is seen of the signal bars to the right of it.

Im sure they'll get that fixed up.
