Thunder release date
According to a great friend of mine that currently works for Verizon, the Thunder WILL be released in November. He doesn't know a date now, but I'll try and narrow that down for you guys. I asked if he had seen it or played with it yet and he said Blackberry hasn't shipped the demo model yet. Yes, sales reps and insiders to get to play with the toys before the rest of the world sees them. Every company ships a working fully functional demo unit to the carrier at least 2-3 weeks before the launch. Sometimes it's closer to just a week, though. I used to be a sales rep for Verizon myself and have played with a lot of new phones before the official launch date.
As for the Bold, I asked him and he stated that as far as he knows it ISN'T coming to Verizon. Doesn't mean it won't ever, just not in the next 6 months at least. My huge question is should i get a Curve or wait on the Thunder? I love the keypad on my Treo 700P and only sorta like the one on the iPhone...so I'm on the fence. And besides all you hardcore BB guys and gals out there....is it ok to get the first release BB of its kind or let them work the kinks out first? Phones certainly have kinks.....Verizon Treo 700P, LG Chocolate (Plastic POS that phone was), Original V3 RZR....the list goes on and on....
