Default Deleted text message stays on main list page

Please Login to Remove!

This is my first week with my bb, so forgive me if I don't have the terms correct. There is a main page on my 8800 that lists new emails, text messages, etc. I had a text message 2 days ago that won't go away. I've deleted it several times, saved it and then deleted it, and followed the advice here:

http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...displayed.html

None of it has worked, and the message still shows up. Even though when I get a new text message that will show up until I have deleted the new message, then the old, deleted one returns.

Any ideas?
Thanks very much!

Wirelessly posted (8700g: BlackBerry8800/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

Pull the battery (while the BlackBerry is powered on) and let the device reboot.

Did you save the text message, check your saved messages...when you are in your inbox, open the menu and goto check saved messages, maybe it was saved and that is why you are not able to delete it.

I had this issue, except it KEPT happing. Everytime I got a text message it would stay on the home screen under messages (dimension today). I would pull the battery and it would clear, but the next time I got a text, that one would stay. It really got annoying. It just stopped recently, don't know what the hell the deal was.

Does anyone have a solution for this problem? I have tried searching through the BlackberryFAQ and here but I'm getting sick of having to do a hard reset for text messages that won't go away.
