Default Email marked read from BlackBerry later appear unread in the Notes client

Please Login to Remove!

I have a user who is running the latest OS on his 7290 and version 7 of Notes on both his office and home machine.

When he reads an email on his BB it does appear as read on his office notes install.

However his new home installation of Notes is coming up as unread even though he's certain he's read it.

I've confirmed that Replicate unread marks is going to "all servers."

What else could be up?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Is he using a local replica at home or is his mailbox pointed at the live data on the server? If it is a local replica, then you might have to kick off a replication before it updates unread marks.

Also is the notes.id file they use at home, exactly the same as the id file version at work? Domino unread marks are notorious for problems, with "fix all solutions" like marking all of the documents as read to reset the unread marks table, and it will work for a while until it gets out of sync again.

Alternatively, if they have a local replica on the home PC, have them select both icons on the workspace, and do an Edit | Unread Marks | Exchange Unread marks.

If your Domino environment is Clustered, see also IBM Technote 1159331
