Default Building New ATT 8820 Tonight - HELP (please)

Please Login to Remove!

ATT just sent me a new BB in the mail as a warranty replacement - not sure what was wrong with the old one but something software related. Is there any way to tell the difference between the two phones?

I was thinking that I would build out the new one as I want (no ATT apps, etc.) and then just swap over the SIM and activate the BES tomorrow morning - is there anyone around tonight that could help if I have problems?

Also - is it worth it to build out the new one or should I just send it back and keep my old one and rebuild the OS on that? I'm getting sick and tired of problems with the BB - i want to do whatever will be most reliable.

Thanks for any help!

EDIT: Questions:

1. I have DM on my work PC, Laptop and home PC - do I need to make all these changes (java folder, delete Vendor.xml, .cod's, etc.) on every DM I will plug the BB into?

2. I have already installed DM and installed the latest OS on my BB - can I just edit the apps and go or does this require totally reinstalling the OS? Trying to avoid another BES activiation from my IT department.

Thx

Questions #2

I am running the latest version of BB OS 4.5xxx on ATT - I wanted to run ATT theme, BB Maps but get rid of Voice Dialing as well as PTT and some additional modules.

Is there a way to do this? Sorry for such basic questions
