Default *Sigh* another fault on my BB8520

Please Login to Remove!

Hi guys
sorry my first post is a complaint!

i bought my first ever BB in Nov 10 - and have been regretting the day ever since!

at 35 days old the phone had a white screen with black line running through it + was completely unoperational. Reading info on here, led me to conclude it was a major system fault. After taking back to the retailer and waiting 3 weeks (no phone), they finally conceded and gave me a replacement!

And lo!

Now the replacement wont turn on. Ive got a red flashing light in the corner. Doesnt matter if I do a battery pull or anything.

Reading up on this forum, it says plug into PC, did that nothing happened, next advice was to plug in with no battery, did this and phone is completly dead now!

To have 2 phones die in 4 months, has made me want to go back to my nokia, ive lost all confidence in this product completly now i have to go through the inconvience of not having a phone whilst this is investigated, how many chances do i give this!

I'm guessing when you did the exchange, you kept the battery. At any rate, first guess is the battery charge is too low to boot the device. So, plug the BlackBerry in with a wall charger. Wait 30-60 minutes, or more, then, with the BlackBerry still plugged in, remove the battery for a moment and replace it. See if the BlackBerry boots up. If so, leave it to finish charging. If it doesn't boot, leave it another hour and try again.
