Default Verizon users - did you convert from 8830 to 8330?

Please Login to Remove!

Pretty much have decided I'm going to get the 8330, but just want to confirm - does the 8330 have the same ringer volume issue as the 8830 or is it plenty loud like my old 8700?

I got it as soon as it came out, and have not noticed any ringer problems. I have had the 8830, 8130 and now the 8330. As with all of them some ringtones are louder than others.

Zero,
You are fortunate.
I will wait for the 9xxx. It will be interesting to see what effect the 4.5 OS has on these devices.

z,

How as the switch for you on the keyboard? I went from a 7750 to 7130e to 8130, and am now considering a move to the curve. keyboard is my main concern.

It's one of the best keyboards I have used. The only one that was better, was probably the old 7200 series.

It's definately worth it. I think the 8130 is great too, I just wanted the bigger screen.

I'm pretty much with akosnitzky I want to see how 4.5 goes with my 8830, I got 22 free MBs right now I want to see what happens with 4.5. Besides I can do an early upgrade in mid August and I am typically a patient person so I will wait. I might just wait for 9000 tough choice, time will tell of course.

I have to say the one nice thing about this 8330 is the free space, I have over 50mb free.

So no one is complaining about ringer volume on the 8330 then? The 8830 is known for this issue.

i think the keyboard on the curve isn't as good as the keyboard on the 8700. maybe it's b/c i am used to it, but the keyboard on the 8330 seems small and i find myself pressing areas where the buttons would be, and instead i am pressing in between buttons. granted, i just got this phone on saturday, so i'll give it some more time before i pass full judgment on the keyboard hah

Switched from te 8830 to the 8330 and find the ring volume louder than the 8830.

I went from the 7250 to the 7130 to the 8703e to the 8130 to the 8830 to the 8330 and I must say that the Curve is the best of them all. The keyboard is fantastic and I haven't had any of the ringer or memory issues like I had with the 8830 or the Pearl.

I mirror the sentiments above. The ringer is much louder, the keyboard reminds me of my old 7750 which I loved and I've dumped a ton of third party apps on the phone with no problem and plenty of free space.
