So TBGR wrote here: AT&T quietly rolls out the Blackberry 8820 | The Boy Genius Report

And I decided to check how true it is. So I walked to 3 stores around my workplace (NYC) and asked some questions:

209 WEST 34TH STREET - the sales rep just said she didn't even know 8820 is coming soon they did not hear anything about it. She did say that they run out of 8800 ("on backorder"), TBGR said that stores that run out should get 8820s, but it doesn't seem to be the case here.

475 FIFTH AVE - the sales rep actually called the manager and I heard the manager tell him (I was standing somewhat close) that he heard it is coming but not for another 2 weeks and they certainly don't have any yet.

575 FIFTH AVE - the sales rep knew about it and said "we are waiting for it but have no idea when it will come", he made it sound they still have 8800 in stock.

Well, we might be close(r) but we're not there yet.

If you happen to be by an at&t store I'd love to read what you hear.

The report actually says they aren't in stores yet. Looks like it'll be soon though....

correct store wont receive until sold thru of 8800's that includes the wharehouse. so store have no definitive date in which to expect 8820
