I have a 9780 using 6.0 Bundle 3106 (v6.0.0.723)

Is it possible for me to stop the phone going to Search if l press a key on the keyboard.

Also if l go to Options-Display-Home Screen Preferences and then try to open it it blinks but does not open, l have noticed a little blue round circle on the house next to Home Screen Preferences wording.

Any help would be good.

You were heading in one of the directions you can take to change the Launch By Typing Setting. I'm not sure why you are seeing that behavior, or the significance of the little blue circle. (On my screen, I have the house icon with a little gear symbol on the lower right of the house icon. No color. Just gray scale.)

Did you do a hard reset and then try again?

Also, try this. From the home screen, open the menu and select options. Does that work? Can you change Launch By Typing and save?
