On July 2 2011, there will be no more support in the form of Service packs, Maintenance Release or Security vulnrabilities. You will however be able to call in and get support to fix it if need be.


This might be a good time to think about an upgrade to BES 5 or BES 5 Express.

Same here.
BES 4.1.7 has worked flawlessly for years for us.
I hope we can retain the same quality of service with BES 5.0, but the huge memory usage (yeah I know that's expected, but disturbing anyway) and constant CPU activity on our test server makes me feel uncomfortable about it.

same here, 10,000+ bb users to move to a new bes 5 domain.. should be fun.

Most memory usage of BES 5.0 is caused by the Java based services (surprise.....). This is MDS + the two BAS services. I would recommend to separate BAS from BES.
