Re: how to unlock my blackberry 8250 (in the uk on orange)
Did you look at the top menu on the forum.... BlackBerry Forums Support Community - Unlock Your BlackBerry!! follow the links, and see if they serve the UK? I don't know if they do or not, but that's the quicker way to an answer rather than waiting for an one here.

Ira, that's our unlocking, not horizon by the way.
OP, if you have a friend on Orange who has been with them for sometime, you may be able to get them to ask Orange for the unlock code. [May or may not be free]

Yep, I knew it was service by the website, but page says it is in partnership with Horizon......and at any rate, if the blackberryforums.com service serves the UK, then that give the OP one option.
Your suggestion is a good one, too.

Re: how to unlock my blackberry 8250 (in the uk on orange)
We are users just like you. I assumed Horizon or the blackberryforums.com service would tell you up front what markets they serve. But a BlackBerry is a BlackBerry, I believe, so if they take your payment they'll be able to supply the code, or your money back. Someone will correct me it I'm wrong.

Re: how to unlock my blackberry 8250 (in the uk on orange)
the link I posted is a copy and paste from the forum in the menu at the top of the page. It is a service provided by blackberryforums.com, as MidnightDraven pointed out. The page immediately following the link says the service is in partnership with Horizon. For what it's worth.

If it doesn't work, email them, they will be happy to refund you.

Yep, calling them a con before they've had a chance to make it right doesn't make you look good.

Re: how to unlock my blackberry 8250 (in the uk on orange)
sorry guys it was just the way it was being dealt with also.
taking a long time to reply to emails etc i was obviously getting worried.
the code didnt work first time round but i was sent another program that retrieved the phones mep and imei number which i sent back and they generated me a new code which did work..
got there in the end!

Re: how to unlock my blackberry 8250 (in the uk on orange)
What's a long time? You must have bought the code sometime in the afternoon my time, and it's early evening now? My thought is you have nothing to complain about.
At any rate, glad you are fixed up now. Welcome to the group.
