What browser are you using?

Are you otherwise connecting to the web ok?

Are you using m.youtube.com?

i tried optimizing the thing, after step 3 or 4 nothing worked, so i kept pressing no, but still its not working.

Delete your browser cache and cookies. Then do a hard reset (with the power on, remove the battery for at least 30 seconds). Then try again.

I don't think it has anything to do with unlocking.

Do you have the blackberry-specific data plan? Or are you using the mobile service providers generic mobile data service?

Earlier when I asked about the browser, I meant are you using the blackberry internet browser, the blackberry hotspot/wife browser, a third-party browser such as opera mini or bolt, or what?

There have been people doing exactly the same thing as I do (blackberry data plan, blackberry browser on wifi connecion, and m.youtube.com) and it still doesn't work for them. I still don't know the answer.

In your case, is it possible that India blocks youtube? Do you know others that are using it ok?

I use the blackberry browser :S (i go to the main screen and click on browser and type the websites i wanna check out, sorry if i sound like a n00b) and no India doesnt block youtube.
Am not using wifi, was using my data plan which always me to use the net. I use urber twitter etc all day, just youtube doesnt work.
Havent spoken to anyone else having the same problem though. Its really strange cause when i try playing a video it doesnt mention anything about my data plan but says that the website doesnt exist :s is there something wrong with the media player ? do I need to update my OS ? :S its really bafflin to be honest.

Ok. Let's back up and start over.

For sure, the following address will not even open for you?

YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

If not, then clear everything in cache operations in browser options (cache, cookies, history ...). Then do a hard reset again. Keep the battery out for a good minute or two. Then try again.

By the way, if you are on EDGE (or worse, GPRS) and you do get the page to load where you are able to click on a "watch video" link, you are going to be disappointed. The video will spend most of the time buffering and little actually playing. 3G will be better. But you'll find you want to use wifi to stream videos.

I have the same YouTube Player, but the Pro version. I paid a few bucks for it from the Blackberry App World, and it's easily the best app on my device. Now my device can compete with the iPhone! Love it, and it is certainly worth the money for the application.

Default Tried Everything, Not working

i also downloaded the same player but it says "make sure you have network access or data services are active". How come i download this software if my services are not active.
As it works perfectly fine with Wifi so is there something related to the bandwidth provided by service provider which might be low as per youtube video buffering requirements??

I called my service provider(Airtel,India) they provided me with new settings and asked to reboot the device by taking sim and battery off the cell, even then i'm unable to access youtube vids.
Note: i was successful in playing videos from other sites but not with youtube.

SOMEBODY HELP ME OUT BADLY.....
