Hi,

I noticed, that while watching videos on youtube, a white EDGE symbol gets added, together with a WiFi symbol in the upper corner. Now, as I'm using the Hot Spot browser mode and I'm connected to a WiFi network, I shouldn't be getting a white EDGE symbol as well, as I'm not using the data plan network? It shows WiFi while browsing, but the second in which the link gets forwarded to the black berry media player, an EDGE symbol gets added.

Any thoughts on it?

Also, is there a faster way to rewind forward without the touch pad (because that takes ages)?

How did you point your browser to the youtube page? And is your default browser set to wifi/hotspot, or not?

For example, perhaps you bookmarked youtube as mobile internet instead of wifi? Or you are using another page in mobile network mode and linking to youtube?

If your default is hotspot/wifi and you just enter the youtube URL into the browser, I belive the browser should use and stick to wifi.

Never mind, even if you open a video (stored on your phone), or listen to music and you have a WiFi turned on, it will show in your upper right corner, together with EDGE and the signal symbol. That doesn't necessary means that you're using any of them atm, it just means that you can access them.

For example if I turn on the blue tooth, it gets added as well.

It's just confusing, as I'm used on browsing with only the WiFi symbol active, but when it redirect you to a video, you get an EDGE symbol as well (+signal, bluetooth, etc)

I still wonder if there is a way to rewind music/videos faster?

Ok. Good. I don't fully understand how non-UMA blackberrys work anyway. On mine I can see when it drops wifi and switches to EDGE or 3G.
