ok guys, I hope you can help me, I have done a lot of research already and done several things to try to get this fixed, the story:

I have an unlocked 9630 verizon branded BB, I am trying to get it back on Telcel Mexico. I used this phone with ALL the features for about one week, then one morning I get the "emergency calls only" message, I have wiped handheld from the security options, I have reset to factory with JL_commander, I have even "wiped" the BB with JL_comm and reloaded the OS and nothing, everything works BUT making calls.

The most succes I had was when I added the blank policy file thorugh windows, when I did that I actually started making calls but after resetting (taking battery out) it went back to "emergency calls only"

I can do everything, BB messenger, pictures, emails, browser, receive calls, google maps, everything but make calls!!!

Any suggestions? It says no services under security>general, so I know there are no IT policies anymore. I am lost.

Any help would be appreciated it please.

How about service books?
Have you registered it already, has the pin number been released by verizon.

it has the Tmobile service books, that did the trick, I previously had a Tmobile pearl and it did not require anything but an unlock. The Tour did work for about a week like I mentioned, so I don't think that is the problem. It still does everything but outgoing.

What do you mean the pin number released by Verizon? Never heard of that.

If it was registered with verizon the account is tied to that carrier, verizon has to release the pin number from their records.

so that could be the problem? how do I go about doing this? I never heard of this before.

This pretty much means that any BB that was ever activated with Verizon can't be used with another carrier?!

Also, wouldn't this only prevent the phone from having a Telcel blackberry email? From what I have read on the PIN being released, it only prevents that particular phone to not get its own blackberry.com email address. Please help me out this is driving me crazy!!
