Default Camera Close-Up vs Normal Option

Please Login to Remove!

I liked my 8900 because it would do close up and normal without a manual adjustment. Now I have to go into options and manually set back and fourth. There is confusion of which setting to use in the 6-8" range.

RIM: make a quick key while in camera mode. Like you do for space bar for flash. (M)for Macro (N) Normal (O) Off.

Agreed. While they are at it, do something for the Storm models, as they are even more annoying in this regard.

If you leave it in close-up mode, it will work still focus for things at a normal distance. Focusing just takes longer.

I am using 9700 and the closeup mode does not seem to focus properly.
What is the closest distance the camera can handle in closeup mode ?
