Default HELP PLEASE!!! Cannot use data connection

Please Login to Remove!

I bought my phone in Singapore, with a T Mobile written in front. Calls and SMS are ok but I can't seem to activate BIS. The same simcard is functioning well in my Storm but when I use it for the Bold I can't seem to activate it. Is this the definition of a "lock" phone? How do I unlock it?

Thanks

When you swap your SIM card, you need to go to the BIS page for your carrier and enter the new PIN. Then from the same page you need to resend the service books. Have you done these two tasks? The other thing to do is if you have Blackberry Desktop installed, connect your new phone and run the swap device wizard so all your settings and configuration information is transferred over.

BIS has nothing to do with TCP. It does not use the third party APN, it uses the Blackberry APN which you have access to if you have a Blackberry data plan provisioned on your line. I am assuming the OP has done his due diligence on it.

I found the problem...my carrier does not allow that I use 1 simcard to 2 different blackberries particularly to the data plan.

thanks to all who replied
