Hi..I just got a new BBP 8100..and it was a huge shock for me to know that I cant take videos with this piece ..
everything else is so fine with this phone..but the fact that i cant videos is depressing me bigtime..
would there be any BB OS upgrade in the near future which would put the video taking capability onto my BBP 8100?

Did you ask the salesperson if the BB 8100 took video? It never has and it never will, even with the OS upgrade on the horizon. Sorry.

Honestly, is there really a reason to take videos with a cellphone? I never need to. Pictures, fine, but video, not really. Just go out and get a digicam.

No man..i got it online..n i guess i havent made a good research abt this phone before i bought it..i saw that this has a 1.3 mp camera..n by default i assumed that it could take both pics n videos..thats generally the case in most of the phones..but damnnnn i can never take videos with this phone..holyyyy

why do u need to check emails on the phone?-get a laptop
why do u need music on the phone?-get an ipod or something

Lol why wouldn't you want to do all this on your phone give it 2 or 3 more years and our phones will be more powerful then any. Most digital cam you'll find for cheap and its just fun it don't gotta be some top p the line resolution just to be something you've got on the fly. For those can't miss pics or to listen to music with out having to have 2 and 3 devises in your pocket.
