Default Visual Flight Tracker

Please Login to Remove!

I know that Beyond411 can track flights, but I would like to find a flight tracker that show me visually where the flight is.

Kind of like the picture.

Any one have ideas?

Carl.

Funny--that is the exact screen I get when I use the Beyond411 application.

Ok, so I'm being a lot newbie.

Sorry. I guess I was wondering if there was a standalone app for this that autorefreshed.

do you have to type in the flight number when you first open beyond411; or is there another way to do it?

Yes, I enter the flight, i.e., DLXXXX, click Flight plugin, and I get the screen with the scheduled take off, arrival, airspeed, altitude, etc., and the different legs of the flight (say LAX/SLC, SLC/DFW). I then click on the leg I want and the map downloads.

I don't know of a stand alone application, there could be, but this is the best quick and simple access to that information I have seen.

fyi... I use the 411 "flight" website link for in-air flight tracking. It looks like the same website source that I use on my pc: Flightview ::: Homepage but it's much faster (fewer clicks) to access a flight via 411 on a BB vs. going thru the website.

I've looked and looked for a mobile site for flightview. Haven't found one yet, other than what 411 has tapped into. Looks like the company (RLM) sets up agreements and licensing with several search engines for access. Plus they sell PC software. Mobile messaging cxomes with that.

Anyway, I've used it on my PC for years and found it really helpful. It's data seems to be more up-to-date sometimes than the airline and airport websites. Go figure.

If you want to add an existing plugin to your Beyond411 plugin list: when in Beyoned411 on your Pearl, hit the Menu button, scroll down and select "Edit Plugins...", then you can type in any of the pre-defined plugins.

If you want to create your own plugin to use on your BB, then you go to Beyond411 Mobile Search and click on "create new plugins". If you have already registered, you just sign in and it will take you right to the page to set up your plugin.
