This has probably been answered before, but I could not find any info. Do you have to have a data plan in order to use BB Maps? I have the application loaded, but only see a green grid when I try to access it. Is there a way to manually download maps via my pc and port them to my BB?

Yes you need a data plan to use apps like Google Maps. No to the manual load.
