I am being told I need to move off this device which I love b/c it's easy, reliable, cheap, I own 10 of them and love the track ball. Do I have the option to unlock and go to verizon or AT&T? I do not use the push to talk feature.
No. If you wish to use a device of that era, please purchase a 7250 for Sprint or Verizon or a 7290 for AT&T or T-Mobile. Please note, however, that none of the 7-series devices will work in the next 2-3 years as 2G networks are phased out, so you should heavily consider a newer device.
Just to clarify, you need to know which 8703 (or any device for that matter) you get. If you get a Verizon branded 8703, it will not work on Sprint's network and vice versa.
