Default Just got my first bill.

Boy was i surprised! Turns out for the whole month I had only used about 34MB of data. I thought I was way past that. I did quite a bit of browsing and file downloads not to mention alot of MSN.

34MB? Makes me feel like i'm wasting money with the 500MB of BIS. I suppose now i can switch my browser to display images cause if i'm nowhere near hitting my limit then i'm good to go.

Default month of january used alot

I am on the 6gb plan and in 29 days \i have used over 5 gb of data, with slingplayer, nobex, flycast and nutsie, all very data intensive.
I wish Rogers Wireless would over unlimited data

Unlimited for $30. This was the cheapest data plan available.

Highest a month still hasn't been over a Gig though

Here's a good brochure from Rogers that gives a good idea of what you can do with your data plan...

-- Whoops, the system won't let me post a link.---

So, go to Google and search for: rogers your guide to wireless data

Look for the pdf "Your Guide to Wireless Data"

Interesting how much more data an iPhone uses compared to the Bold
eg
On a 500MB plan you could view 6,919 web pages with the Bold.
On the same plan you could view 2,926 web pages with an iPhone.
(175kb per page)

With my iPhone on AT&T I used to use about 800 MB/ month, but with my BB I only use around 250-300. I think RIM compresses the data - because I think I have started using my phone more since I got my Bold.

I would love to use youtube on my BB. Only problem is that everyclip I watch the audio and video is way out of sync all the time.

Yup you're right. They are compressing the data big time. It's annoying sometimes.

Sorry if this is an ignorant question, but how is data compression annoying?
