Default New BB 8110 and desktop software, cant get it to sync with Outlook?

Please Login to Remove!

I had a Pearl 8100 all last year and loved it.

I upgraded to a 8110 last week and still love it, Installed the new software and did the 'switch device wizard' and all went perfect.

Plugged it in today to sync my calendar and the new desktop software wont find outlook??

desktop version is 4.3.0.17

any ideas as this is quite a major problem if i cant get it to sync.

Thanks

Your new device has a different PIN number and you must therefore setup your sync for *this* device. I don't believe your old sync settings will transfer to the new device even though you used the wizard.

sorry i should have explained more. I have been through the desktop software settings for the sync and when i click on calendar it opens a box and gives me a selection of things i can sync with and outlook is not in the list (the list only actually consists of 1 item which i have never heard of before)

Ahh... it could be then that support for your version of office has dropped off. I think it was DM version 4.3 that announced you must have office 2003 or above.

You may try downgrading your desktop manager to see if you can get sync support back

Yes 4.2 with SP2 will support your 8110.

ok next problem... just uninstalled the software that came with the 8110 and installed 4.2 SP2 from a download from the blackberry site (couldnt find my old disk).

But the drivers from the 8110 have also been removed and it doesnt want to install JUST the drivers from the current CD!?!

And i cant find where to download JUST the drivers for the 8110 from??

any ideas?

thanks again
