Default Problem syncing Contacts to Outlook

Please Login to Remove!

I have a brand new 8700c and am having problems syncing the Contacts with my Outlook 2003. I am using Desktop 4.1 on an Internet basis (i.e. no BES).

Interestingly, Calendar, Memos and Tasks all sync without a problem but when I try to sync my Contacts I get the following error message:

"Unable to write or update application data".

I tried syncing with another PC with the sameconfiguation and got an identical message.

Any help would be much appreciated

Have you searched the Blackberry knowledgebase? I found it on my first try.

Look at the following link:

BlackBerry Search Results

It is how to configure the advanced logging in Intellisync.

Once that is done, configure your syncing to ONLY sync the address book (you can reselect the others later).

Try a sync. Once that is complete, open the log files that were created. Somewhere near the end, you'll see the last contact (or at least enough info to discern the last contact) that it attempted to sync. Move this contact out of the address book and re-sync. If it competes, cool. Rebuild the offending contact. If it stalls again, repeat the process until the sync is successful. Usually web-based info has gotten into one of the fields and caused corruption.
