I think there are lots of threads on this but VZ disables the GPS in short. You can limit your search to this forum only.

I dont have verizon I have Alltel.
The error code I am getting is

error starting gmaps

at offset ad6e

Works for me. Make sure you go to Google Mobile and enter you phone number and send the instructions to your device.
