I have BB 8700c user who wants to make his BB ring when he received e-mail from a specific user. Anybody know if/how that can be done? If it can't be done, that's alright by me too, I just need answers ASAP! The people I work for are very, very impatient. Thanks!

Yes, go to Profiles, scroll down to USE ACTIVE PROFILE EXCEPT FOR:

Click to NEW EXCEPTION.
Create a name for the exception on the top line.
In the FROM field, select that user from your address book.
Adjust the CUSTOM PHONE TUNE for the tune for that caller.
Save, Close, and make sure the check box is enabled on that EXCEPTION.

Was that ASAP enough?

Does work for e-mail too (I believe this it was the original post was asking about)?

I just tried this on my BB. It worked for a placed call to my BB, but not for incoming e-mail from my tester. Now, I have a BB 8800 not an 8700c. Could that be the difference?

IIRC you need a third party app for email alert exeptions. If it doesn't need to be an alert specific to a certain user you can use Level 1 forwarding but all Level 1 messages will have the same alert.

takeshi is correct, make a Level 1 Message or look at Blackberry Alerts, third party software.
