Hi to all.

I have one unusual situation. In my company we have two BES version 4.0 with 20 user licences on each server. One is for Vodafone and one for T-mobile. Since we are now using two separate servers everything is OK. But now I would like to know if it is possible to put all the licenses and users on just one server?

Are there any legal issues regarding this "project"? How do I mange SRP keys? Can Vodafone or T-mobile track the messages and know if we are using "right" server or not?

If you have any experience or have some documentation regarding my questions, please, let me know so I can deside if this is worth my time, or not

BES is carrier independent. You do not need a BES per carrier. Most companies have multiple carriers on one BES. RIM keeps track of where the messages go!

NJ is right, just toss the CAls from one BES onto the other and move your users over. A BES is a BES is a BES.

One more question. If I put license number from active server, can I expect problems? Yesterday I did one mistake and validate same SRP keys on two servers and had "SRP status - Disconnected".

Do I need to stop BES on "old" server and then apply license key on new one, or it doesn't matter?

yes, you need to remove it from the "old" server. Otherwise they will be invalid for use. You can also temporary do to minus number on the new one ... but it's up to you

Thanks I did mange to put license key on new server.

But now, after I migrated users from old server to new one I have problems regarding connecting devices to users mailboxes. The status for migrated users is "initializing". I have search this forum and some other sites, but none of the suggestions are good for my case.

Have any suggestions?

Users will have to wipe and EA or wipe and connect to the Desktop Manager.
