I have a few pop3 email accounts that I would like to check instead of having to wait 15 minutes - how would that work? Is there a way to check automatically?

What service provider are you using? If they have upgraded to BIS 2.1 the 15 minute delay is gone. If your provider is still on BIS 1.8 or 2.0 there is nothing you can do to check more frequently.

Note: I use T-Mobile and had to delete my BIS accounts and recreate them before the polling delay was changed.

how do i upgrade? scratch that - how do i find out what service provider i'm on? I don't know what I am on currently

wait....i thought this was only for gmail, yahoo, msn and aol accounts?

You mean to tell me its true for pop3 accounts as well? I've tried and have been unsucessful to get these real time.

Uh...you don't know who your service provider is? What's on your monthly bill?

Cingular? Tmobile? Verizon? Sprint?

your right - real time is only for the BIS address; Gmail; yahoo and Exchange/Domino accounts set up w/ mail connector

it's possible at times to get email faster (sometimes it polls sooner if it delivered you mail on the last poll - not always) - but it is a 15 min polling cycle for all other accounts
