I hear alot about car chargers, etc. that are bad for your device, etc, because of the charging circutry. Has anyone had problems with a car charger from Cingular causing them problems?

These problem usually arise from aftermarket products.

I wouldn't be concerned with one purchased from Cingular as it's going to be OEM.

Well I just bought my charger from Cingular today... It didnt have Blackberry anywhere on the actual charger and when I Looked closeley it said For Moto V3i & iMate- think I'm just going to take it back and get the actual RIM Blackberry c harger from online.

Cingular sells aftermarket accessories... the car chargers are Wireless Solutions. I actually supply several Cingular Corporate stores with OEM accessories because CW corporate want's only "Cingular" branded sold. These managers take it upon themselves to supply them to their customers since the company won't.

A return is up to you. As aftermarket goes the Wireless Solutions/Superior Comm product is fine... The issue with aftermarket is about output of current and the consistancy of it. I use OEM because I expect it to be correct and matched to the BlackBerry and it is. The BB is designed for 500-750mAh charging current. Some devices like the HTC POcket PC phones are looking for 1000mAh but can work with 750. But hooking up an HTC charger to a BB is not the best idea. The point is unless you know what the charger is outputting and how consistant you are throwing the dice.
