Default BES 5.x, what elements of BBM does it store or backup ?

Please Login to Remove!

With BBM 7 being imminent, along with the VERY usefull new voice feature for our roaming users, I'd like to get our company to use it much more actively. One thing I'm not very sure of though is how much of the configuration etc of BBM is stored by the BES server ?.

What I'm concious of is what happens if a users looses their BlackBerry or it is damaged beyond repair, and we then re-activatre them against our BES server with a new BlackBerry, what if anything BBM related is stored in BES and pushed to the new device ?.

I get the feeling that it stores nothing, so unless the user has a backup of some sort they have to start again from scratch ?.

Thanks.
