Hello Guys.

Please help. I can not get in to Set ringtones/Alerts menu. I get in to the drop down menu with the profiles however when I click on Set ringtones/Alerts nothing happens. It does not go in to the nex menu. Does anybody know what is the problem? I reinstalled os ( did not help). changed theme ( did not help). Please let me know if you guys know anything. Thank you in advance.

Hi same problem I am encountering right now. It started yesterday, I was about to change my notifications alert, when I go to sound menu and click set ringtones/alerts nothing happens. same thing with edit profile.. I didn't update any higher version, because when I bought my bb 8520 its version is v5.0.0.592

I also tried pulling out the battery for 5mins and also removed the simcard, but still same error occurs.

Please do help me, as I need to change my alerts. Thank you and hoping someone could help me as soon as possible.

I'm facing exactly the same problem, and I think it did not happen until I had set a new theme replacing the default BB theme.
And now I can't change the settings..
Some help?

I had got the same problems. If you are running Adonis or another similar BB softs to setup ringtone n vibrate on your device, you would get that troubles! So just delete those softs from your device, it will be solved! Goodluck!

I don't have any such apps for setting ringtones or anything.. :|
Should I list the apps I am currently using?
Also, I am able to use the "Edit Profiles" also the "Set Contact Alerts", just "Set Ring Tones/Alerts" does not open up. :(

So, I think you should try to reinstall the OS.

You might want to post in the appropriate forum, as this is the 9700 forum, not the 85xx forum. The issue may not be one in the same as that on a 9700.
