Well not forever- but for MUCH longer than the 15 days I specificed in email options ( about 6 months)
this creates a 20 minute boot up delay as my blackberry sets up emails from 2 months ago ( i receive about 200 a day so you can do the math :( )

Any ideas on fixing this issue?
i have two emails setup and have teh same problem with each of them

I am using the gmail plug in so maybe it is overiding the blackberry settings ?

I was going to say check and see if you have somehow accidently saved those messages (though I can't think how you could accidently save so many) ..... But then I read you are using the google plugin. I really don't have a clue, but the plugin is what I suspect.

I think if you want to get to the bottom of the issue, you should uninstall the plugin and see what happens.

thanx for the tip aiharkness- i did try to delete saved messages ( there were 3) but i dont see any relationship between saved messages and non-saved messages which are kept on device for 6 months

do you know how to uninstall google plug in ?
