Default Unlocked 9800?

Please Login to Remove!

I had an unlocked pre-released Storm 2 from Vodafone that I used on Rogers. However the call display only worked from time to time or on certain numbers. Wondering if this will be the case if I buy one from AT&T and have it unlocked for use on Rogers.

Anyone know if there is a way to fix that? Rogers refused to assist siting the fact that they don't offer that phone and know nothing about it.

Can anyone shed any light on this? Need to know if I should buy a device from AT&T and unlock it.

No need to post again. Have some patience, please.

The 9800 hasn't been released yet so I doubt that anyone knows for sure.

However, an unlocked 9800 from ATT should work on the Rogers network. Just how well, we won't know until it has been done a few times. You won't have any tech support to get it set up correctly or if you have any problems, either.

Why not wait until it is released on Rogers?

Thanks for the reply. There is no planned released date for the device from Rogers as of yet. My Storm 2 is driving me nuts. On my 4th one already.

You need to get an unlock code - might have to pay for that.
