Synchronisation Failure

Hi,
I support a company that use a variety of Blackberry devices. They have been working fine up until now but one user continually fails to sync her calendar (using desktop manager). I have downloaded the latest desktop s/w and updated all of the software on the device itself but it still fails at a particular item. All other syncs work fine.
The way in which it is failing looks like it is a single item that is causing the problem but I don't know how to determine which item it is. If I can find out I could delete the item and see if it makes any difference.
I have reset and reconfigured the sync but this made no difference. Currently it is syncing ok as I have excluded the whole calendar sync.
Is there a way of finding out which item the sync is failing on?
All syncs are with an Exchange server.
