Default managing data in the device

Please Login to Remove!

hey ya'll!

well, I want to arrange some data on the device, by adding some files, so i'll be able to send them when in need.

when using the desktop manager, i can add music/videos/pictures with the media manager, but can't find an elegant way to add data files (docs and such).

i want to know, if there's a dissent way i can do that, and is there a way to manage the data, using labels and other options, so that data can be accessible, easy to find, navigate and send.

thanks

Here's what I'm thinking: Use a microSD media card. Create a folder for these files. Enable mass storage. Use windows explorer to drag and drop these file into the folder. Do not use media manager.

You can use the media app to "explore" and view the folders. I haven't done it much, but experiment and figure it out. You may be able to select a file, bring up the menu, and select attach to email. Or compose an email, then bring up the menu, select attach file, and navigate to your folder and select file. I can't tell you the step by step off the top of my head. But you'll see what I mean when you experiment.

Well in the blackberry regardless of using a media card or not, blackberry automatically creates folders called documents, pictures, videos, etc. Just drag the ones you want into the appropriate folder and then either use the media app to view them (use the explore function) or you can open them using docs to go.
