Suddenly the search feature stopped working on my 8830. In the past, when I was in the address book, I would simply press the alphabet such as A on my keypad and it would simply take me to the very first name in name A category. Now it doesn't work. I have more than 100 contacts in my address book with almost with all the alphabets, but none of them works. It simply shows no addresses.

Any Idea, and yes I have already checked the filter option, and none of the category is checked.

Try pulling battery for half a minute and replace.

That's first thing to try when blackberry isn't working right. Fixes most issues most of the time, I think.
