Default not bad, but very strange...internet browsing on the blackberry

Please Login to Remove!

i just implemented BPS onto my exchange 2003 box and one of my users told me that pandora is blocked on his phone.

i told him that i didnt know how that was possible, since he was using the providers browser, verizon.

well, my bb is on the same BPS server and my provider is sprint. i navigate to pandora.com/blackberry and sure enough, i got the same error. it was the this page is blocked being pushed out by my sonicwall firewall.

once BPS is implemented, does ALL network traffic go through my companys network? this confused me and i still cant figure out how it is possible.

i knew you could force the data through the network, but i assumed i had to push out my own company browser to the device.

thanks for any info on this topic.

yes they can browse through your BPS or setup a proxy for it to go through. They can also use WiFi and use their carrier also. You can lock it down so all data must pass through corporate infrastructure.

You can also use IT Policy to control/force how they use it.

after hours gets answers in a longer time frame, even longer after I have a beer, maybe none if I have too many.

the network will through your company network.

Why would anyone care what someone does with their BB?
