Question Using NetBeans 4.x and Mobility Pack instead of Blackberry's IDE

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to figure out a way to use NetBeans as my preferred IDE for developping Blackberry applications.

I would like to be able to use Netbeans Configurations and Emulators set-ups so I could program device-specific instructions from within the IDE without having to completely recreate new projects from scratch or copy-pasting code chunks.

I've tried to use Ant and Antenna (from within NB) to create a build script for one of my current projects but couldn't get it to work.

So, basically, the solution I'm looking for should do the following:
- use Netbean's "preprocessor blocks" to program for device-specific instructions/api's
- build the different configurations
- launch a selected Blackberry emulator, for testing/debugging

has anyone successfully achieved any of this ?
any help would be greatly appreciated!

thanks,
Simon
