Default back up problem?

Please Login to Remove!

At the moment my BB8320 is broken. Im waiting to get it repaired. The problem is 2 of the little copper-looking prongs on the USB connector is missing so it cannot connect to the computer but it does charge with the wall cable. My question: is there a way to view my address book out of the backup ipd file i have saved on my computer? I have a old BB pearl and tried uploading my contacts on there but it didnt work. Any help would be nice

If you have a backup you should be able to restore. Why didn't it work? Otherwise, you could try a switch device wizard using bluetooth on the broken device and cable with the pearl.

You can't use a 8320 backup to restore a Pearl.

I haven't seen anything that will allow you to open an .ipd file.

I actually did some checking and I beleive that you should be able to restore the data from the 83xx to an 81xx. What error were you receiving Poeticsoul?
