My Boss is using a 4G blackberry (9900) that he recently purchased with T-Mobile. He saved all his international contacts without the country code. Anytime he wants to make an international call, he needs to enter the whole number because it is not saved with the country code. Can any of you help me figure out how we can auto dial a country code when we select a contact. This is a business phone and we make lots of international calls.
example: john is from UK and his number is saved as 203-xxxx-xxxx instead of +(44)-203-xxxx-xxxx. How can we call john with an auto dial UK code instead of redialling the whole number.
Thanks in advance
Have him press the phone button (left most key), then the menu key and select Options.
Scroll down to Smart Dialing and make sure that the Country Code is set to United States (+1).
If he didn't save it properly there is no way to make the phone just add the proper dialing code. Whatever you put into smart dialing will be applied to ALL numbers.
Unfortunately you cannot just tell the boss he's sone something dumb. Resisting the urge to give him a slap upside the head (even playfully) can be difficult, but fantasizing about it is usually safe.
