Default Internet Help

Please Login to Remove!

I have just synched up to the blackberry server for my employer. My problem is now my internet is trying to access through the server. I work for a city entity, and the filters on the internet basically make it unusable. Is there a way to change my internet access over to Verizon or Blackberry, like it was originally and still enable synch of calendar and emails?

I assume that you are on BES? If that is the case, you are probably limited by the IT Policy pushed to your device. It is best not to try to circumvent that policy, unless you do not value your job. For many companies and agencies, messing with the IT Policy is a termination offense.

You should talk to the BES Admin and/or IT staff to see what is and is not allowed. They make the rules.

So because I am on the BES I can't use my old service to connect to the internet? Does anyone know away around this, as the IT Policy should not be changed, but thanks for the comment haha. Perhaps a 3rd party application of somesort?

Here are your options.

1. Talk to your employer, find out what their rules are, and follow them.
2. Get your personal device removed from the corporate BES.

You should follow the sage advice that Dubdub has given you.

There's no work around. It's their network. It's their rules.

I'm asking to have my internet off there network maybe no one understands that, if it's not possible say it's not possible dam. I know there rules, not concerned about them.
My IT guy says there is a way to remove the internet from the network and allow the phone to continue to synch everything else, he was also going to do some research.

Your IT person is correct. It cannot be done. You can only have one connection and BES uses the carrier's broadband network.

If you need Internet, remove your device from BES and have your employer give you one of theirs connected to BES.
